The catalyst for the formation of this charitable association was the experience of our founder, Clayton Cross.

Our Education Program
2010
In 2010, Clayton visited an orphanage in Uganda as a volunteer aid worker. He discovered a facility housing 140 orphans from HIV/AIDS-affected families and the Globalize Junior School, a primary school catering for 250 children from nearby villages. The orphanage and school lacked electricity and an adequate water supply, while the remote area where they were located was made up of small villages with people living at subsistence levels.
Using funds raised with the help of friends and his business, Clayton immediately set about making improvements. He installed basic solar-powered lighting in the dormitories and classrooms, repaired broken water pumps in three nearby villages, and provided additional bedding, medical assistance, and textbooks for the children. His most significant project was the installation of a water bore at the orphanage, which has become a lifeline for the community during recent droughts.
2011
In May 2011, he constructed two new permanent classrooms for the Globalize Junior School, enabling it to attract better teachers and offer improved levels of tuition. In 2013, a bigger solar project was implemented, providing better lighting and in more areas of the project. In 2014, they installed a new fuel-efficient stove to replace the old open-fire cooking methods. It is our policy to always use local teachers and materials, creating work and assisting the local economy. By consulting with the orphanage director and village elders, future project ideas will evolve.
2022
In 2022 Jack Bear was encouraged by Clayton to volunteer in Uganda and saw first hand the needs of the community to support education for children.
Clayton and Jack’s profound experience led them to establish School of Hope to provide not only support funding for the orphanage but also to finance projects enhancing the standard of living, education, and employment opportunities Join our organization and become a member for only $50 per financial year. By supporting School of Hope you can help us make a difference in the lives of these needy children.
